We use SAKS. Can't be certain but seems I remember a tip that Maggie and Jeff passed on to everyone about a kinked dialysate line and using a drinking straw to keep it straightened. Well, we had a kink on the dialysate line where it comes out the top of the control unit of the Pureflow machine. The tubing on that part of the line is skinnier/flimsier than the rest of the dialysate tubing. Anyways, it was kinked. I took a plastic drinking straw and using scissors, sliced the side of the straw and then fit it over the kinked dialysate line....sort of like how those green dialysate line collars work on the SAK. Basically the same effect/results. The drinking straw kept the tubing from folding and kinking up and we got thru treatment just fine.

Hats off to Maggie and Jeff for giving us the idea! From now on, I am going to keep a couple of clean drinking straws in our dialysis kit.
