Indonesian Farmers and Kindney Failure Pockets

Fairly long article, likely environmental and farming chemicals causing kinedy failure. Only have 180 machines in country so patients go twice per week if at all.

Thank you, iolaire for sharing this very interesting article with us...
A few years ago I read a medical article about rice and what it contains
and after reading the article, I avoided eating any rice ever since...
... but I forgot the precise details of that medical article because I came across it so long ago ...
... Perhaps there is a connection of the popular rice-eating in these countries
and the high percentage of kidney-failure within their population ?

More likely to do with the chemicals used in those areas? Like there's pockets of CKD in the Western world around (petro)chemical industry?

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

1983 high proteinloss in urine, chemo, stroke, coma, dialysis
1984 double nephrectomy
1985 transplant from dad
1998 lost dads kidney, start PD
2003 peritineum burst, back to hemo
2012 start Nxstage home hemo

... I wonder if the medics start to research this to get some scientific proof, just in case there is a medically explainable connection ?

I think money-streams play a role.
