Husband had ESRD with Type I Diabetes -Insulin Dependent.
I was his care-partner for home hemodialysis using Nxstage December 2013-July 2016.
He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.

For all I know, maybe before my in-laws came along I had more than 55 years left. Afterall, they do say stress can reduce one's lifespan.

I got 36.7 I smiled then I realized 3 times a week 4.25 hours I would have 2.87 years of dialysis left to go.  I demand a recount.

 :stressed; I plugged in my mother inlaw's info. Says she has another 26 years and 7 months. Lordy, I don't think I can take that.  :'( Somebody please pass the booze..

Delighted to see so many daring and adventurous souls doing the 'how many years left' quiz.     :bandance;
Which now begs the question 'do you view your cup of life as half full or half empty'?  :secret;
Along with that thought came 'why does it matter?'.   >:D
While it wasn't easy,  did come to find out 'it does matter', at least it did for me.   :oops;
