Hi all,

I started PD a few weeks ago and just switched to APD using the Baxter HomechoicePRO. This by route of PKD as a software engineer (DevOps guy, for those who are familiar with the field) working at a medium-sized storage startup in the Bay Area. I'm pretty progressive, big fan of Berlin School electronic music as well as some slow ambient drones, and I like stuff about stars, galaxies and the nature of matter and reality. For obvious reasons I also try to keep informed about anything having to do with PD, and I look forward to learning a thing or two here.

Thanks for the welcome, Darth! So far my experience with PD hasn't been too bad. It's a drag for sure but things could be worse. It's kind of miraculous to me that it works as well as it does. Probably not what Mother Nature intended the peritoneum to be used for but for now I'll gladly use it as a spare.

Cheers,
Jos

Welcome Jos!  My husband does PD as well.   :)

I am a caregiver to my wonderful husband,  He is 4p and started PD October 2013. We have several living donors waiting to be tested for a transplant. Dialysis is a bridge to get us where we need to go.
He had a transplant in November 2019.
