Okay, following on from the success of our UK Weekend get together in Cambridge...
How do you fancy a long weekend in Portugal next April???
Usually between 18 and 22 degrees at that time of year, nice beaches, grilled sardines and vino verde (local wine)....  :secret;

I need some feedback on if you would be interested in coming?
Dates??? I am looking at Friday April 24th to Monday 27th April? Flying in Friday night and back out Monday morning? (or longer if people want to stay out for week)
Cheap flights easy to find to Faro, and nowhere is very far from airport.

I am looking at Carveiro (which is on the beach) would people prefer a Hotel (Hotel Del Sol is great and directly on beach and centre of little town) or a shared villa (with pool)???

Ooooohhh!!!...

Had always been unable to attend such events due to Mum's needs, but now that my darling mum has traded in her training wings for the real thing, this has possibilities....

Sounds like you know the area and it's amenities well, Sugar.... What's it like for we wheelchair users???...

Darth....

I've booked in Carvoeiro 5th till 14th May

        :yahoo;

Darth there are hotels/apartments that are wheelchair friendly, but you need to check. From experience I know some shops are, some shops are not.
Last year they finished the most fantastic wheelchair/mobility limited access beach walk at the Atlantic coast there. It is pretty hilly though, but there's always someone to help if you are okay with that.
Last year when on a boattrip the boat-guy (?) just lifted me out of the boat, and carried me over the beach to the beach cabin. I still don't know if dear hubby was very happy with that  ;D

Love to all, Cas

Are you staying at Hotel Carveiro Sol? Who did you book with?
A spot of sun would be good!

We booked through airbnb. Very good, you'll stay in somebody's house than (usually a holiday home)
