Wow, Kimcanada, congrats on your excellent insurance coverage!

As for wind fences being ugly, they're not as ugly as wreck victims strewn all over the road!

I can't imagine having to deal with driving conditions like those you routinely endure!  My trips are long (and slow), but except for lots of wacky cabdriver maneuvering, lots of tourists wandering across the road in Georgetown, and the occasional driver's rage (others, mostly, not so much mine!), my commute is a peaceful one.   You certainly have my sympathy and good wishes for safe passage!

My car is a total right? write? off and one piece of great news is that my car insurance had a clause in is that stated that I get what I paid for the car.. as in what it states on my receipt, I didn't even know of such a thing, so money wise it will be OK :)

Kim

Well there is something good in everything. You get a new car. No-one hurt I'd say you came out of this pretty good.

Wow, I thought the other picture made the road conditions look bad.  I would hate to have to take such a treacherous road everyday.  At least you had some really good insurance coverage and should be able to easily replace your car.  What insurance company do you use again?

That was one hell of a road you showed in that picture.  I would not cross it either in ice and snow. Geez!

Well...

Its a causeway that joins Nova Scotia to Cape Breton, Cape Breton is part of Nova Scotia legally but not to the people around here.  There was a ferry but it was replaced in 1955, there has been many accidents since mine, this is the worst winter in a long time.
