YOU GUYS ARE ALL DOING SOOOOO WELL!!!!!  I wish I could move that well!!!  This damn stroke took away so much of my mobility...but I just started physical therapy and am seeing a private trainer who just ROCKS!!!!  I walk about half a mile every other day....well, it takes me 20 minutes to walk it.....and then on days I don't walk, I'm in an ADAPTED water aerobics class.....  I'm the most handicapped person in the water....so if I can do it, most other people can too......and that work out is about an hour of WORK on my body....I can't seem to get out of the pool.....and then every other day I do a weight lifting regiment after my walk....  I have to say that this whole exercise thing is the BEST THING I could've EVER started since I've gotten sick.  It has given me the energy to get up and get moving....my sleep has improved, my mood has improved, my appetite has improved...  I recommend this exercise thing to EVERY PATIENT that I've come into contact with.....

Hi All it has been awhile but life is hectic ,  I have started an aqua fit class 3 times a week, an hour each class.  It is the most wonderful thing I have done.

I have as to date lost 40 lbs since dialysis, I am feeling pretty good and looking forward to the day I have lots of energy!!!!

I am on a Mon, Wed, Fri, fitness schedule doing 40 min of cardio (approx 3.5 miles running with some good shoes) and weight training (as listed a few post back).  I am doing one additional day of cardio on Sundays.  Considering working in a beginner class of yoga to help with breathing and flexability maybe also on Sundays.

It's odd that as I am facing the worst health status of my life with renal failure that I would be feeling like I am getting into the the best shape of my life.  The benefit of the exercise has made it very easy for me to justify the time involved.  My advice to anyone considering being more active is to start small with one thing and work it into your life until it becomes routine, then just build from there.

I miss exercising, and I wish I could do it. Hopefully I will get through this ankle crap fast and I'll be back to exercising soon... I had more energy when I was doing some form of cardio everyday.. now I just sleep. I have also gained weight. I weigh'd 135 in June, and now it's Oct and I weigh 148-150, it's very sad...  :banghead;

Keep up the exercising everyone.. b/c if you CAN do it, you should... b/c when and if there comes a time you can't, you wish you would of.

Way to go goofynina!!  Make it a part of your day, something you do, a routine like feeding the kitty.  Know that it is good for you and enjoy the fact that you are doing something good for yourself.  Sooner or later you will begin to feel the benefits and will not want to give it up.  You might feel like this guy.......  :yahoo;

Also did the weight training (M, W, F).

I couldn't run my distance tonight.  I made it to a mile and a half and had to slow down and speed walk to 3 miles.  I had a very physical day yesterday and have been eating crap for the past two days so I am blaming that for my lack of performance.  I was able to complete my weight training which felt good.
