Update from clinic today: Doing very well. Had clinic thus morning and all my numbers are looking very good. Dr said if pushing to two week appointments wouldn't put me at Christmas Eve, he would. So have an appt next week, and if all is still good will go to two week appts. That is very good and ahead of schedule. One thing the Dr told me today; he said that getting a new kidney was like buying a car. He can sell it to me and show me how it works, but after that, it's up to me to decide how I drive it. Basically, it's up to me to take care of the kidney and help it last as long as possible. I assured him I would take very good care of it.

I am a caregiver to my wonderful husband,  He is 4p and started PD October 2013. We have several living donors waiting to be tested for a transplant. Dialysis is a bridge to get us where we need to go.
He had a transplant in November 2019.
