This Too Shall Pass

« on: November 04, 2013, 11:04:44 AM »

Hello All,

It has been a while since I posted, I have been so busy traveling and enjoying life again.  I have been on PD for almost a year as of today and I must say that I am so happy I chose PD. I am traveling and still working, although I will be retiring Aug 2014.  I have not had any problems as of yet and don't want any, I am careful as to what I eat and drink plenty of water. Every other weekend, I skip PD altoghether, of course with my doctors approval.  It gets tiring sometimes, however, I love the freedom of being able to travel and move whenever I feel like it.  I have driven to Georgia from vrginia (12 Housr) several times this year and had a wonderful time.  Hope all is doing wonderful and I am wishing everyone a good Thanksgiving.

It makes me so happy to hear from you, and I am delighted that PD has given you better health AND freedom!  Good for you!  :2thumbsup;

Dailysis patient for since 1999 and still kicking it strong.  I was called for a transplant but could not get it due to damage veins from extremely high blood pressure.  Have it under control now, on NxStage System but will receive dailysis for the rest of my life.  Does life sucks because of this.  ABOLUTELY NOT!  Life is what you make it good, bad, sick, or healthy.  Praise God I'm still functioning as a normal person just have to take extra steps.
