I was talking with another member last week and we both thought we were losing Kitkatz.  So much of her experience reminded me of Barry's last days, that it was hard to even think of her that sick.    BUT------ SHE'S HOME!!!!!!    Unbelievable.  No one has the spirit or the will to fight like she does.

We love you.  And I'm giving thanks that Kitkatz is here, is healing and still carrying her big stick      :Kit n Stik;           Love you, Kitkatz    :cuddle;

Well, it was a short home stay, but the pet therapy was great for her spirit!
 Kitkatz had a little fall this morning, so she and Victor have decided she is still too weak to be navigating furniture.
She's waiting to hear about a skilled nursing facility nearby.

Keep your stick handy KK

That might be good for both of them.  Victor needs help taking care of Kit right now.  Falling is not good and we don't want her to hurt more than she is.   Thanks for keeping us posted, Okarol.

I'm sorry being at home did not work out, but I am happy you got to see your puppy! A little time at a SNF should be just the ticket for getting stronger so you can be safe when you do go home. Hugs to you and Victor, what a scary experience!   :grouphug;

I'm glad she was home for a little bit.. sometimes that little escape is the best thing, even if you do have to go back to the hospital.

 :flower; Latest Update  :flower;

KK is back in the ER tonight.  From what Victor said, her BP dropped so low during dialysis that they stopped and called an ambulance.  She's waiting to be seen by a doc...hopefully one that knows what the frak he's doing!

And yes, that crazy lady took a fall this morning - thankfully a small one so she wasn't hurt.  She slid out of the recliner while trying to get comfortable, smacking her tailbone and bruising her ego.  They had to call the paramedics to get her up, into her wheelchair, and back into bed.  (She didn't say if they were cute or not....I hope they were!)

After that incident, not even 12 hours home, Victor was beside himself, so they called in backup (me!) to give her a hand this morning while he took a break and got himself back together.  Thankfully, that incident seemed to have knocked some sense into KK and she decided that it was best to get into a care center where she can really center her attention on getting better.

Of course, now that she's back in the ER (see previous post), who knows what is going to happen now....

*sigh*  I need a drink....

My BP is really low during dialysis and so I take 5mg of Midodrine an hour before dialysis.  They have a thousand BP medications to lower it but only one that I know of to RAISE it.

She has had enough.  Smooth road please!   :stressed;

She's been admitted to the hospital....again.  Third time this month, for those of you who are counting.  Not sure how long she'll be in there...

 :flower; UPDATE  :flower;

They are shipping KK off to a care facility in Pomona tonight, which is about 25 miles west of where we all live.   They still don't know what's causing the blood pressure drop like it is.  They told her that if it drops again, she will have to come to the hospital for dialysis....which means she gets to take a 20 mile (one way) ride to and from dialysis.

Oy....

Keep your fingers crossed!!!!
