Me with Baron von Fresenius

« on: May 24, 2013, 02:52:31 AM »

I have (had) a friend from college who I had been close to for eleven years, and our friendship has suddenly ended. Several factors led to this, but the tipping point was when he misunderstood a comment that I made and accused me, and still accuses me of being racist against white people, which is silly because I'm half white! What made things worse is he went after my home healthcare aide by calling her company and saying all kinds of bad things about her, and she ended up losing her job over it. He did that just to get back at me! I'm very upset about this happening, but I'm trying to move on.

"Asbestos Gelos"  (As-bes-tos yay-lohs) Greek. Literally, "fireproof laughter".  A term used by Homer for invincible laughter in the face of death and mortality.

That really sucks. And it surely wasn't very mature for this friend to hurt another person to get to you.  :thumbdown;

It hurts to go through any kind of loss.  :cuddle;

It hurts to lose a friend who you considered to be a BFF. Hopefully he will see the light and apologize and maybe you can forgive him.
