You have every right to practice all that stuff, but must you bring it up directly on my thread when you know? This is how my situation differs. You're 'speaking' directly to me and yet you know that your 'words' tend to turn off.Plus, you have SO many resources that claim that all humans are equal. The Constitution, Declaration of Independence, etc.Why use the one that is quite possibly written by a bunch of loonies who talked to the sky and called it "God"?
So true Sluff, that is what the Bible states that all men are of one blood.

Then like one of my preschool students who tries to slither past any blame, you absolved yourself by using the excuse that you were talking to Sluff. Then you further show your lack of social grace (as an older person talking to a younger person with less life experience) by saying that HE needs an attitude correction. A simple apology would have been far more gracious. And ironically, it would have been the perfect opportunity to lead by example in an interchange that replicates the original query in this thread.
"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
It is with the greatest respect and with, hopefully, a modicum of care that I'd like to say the following:I don't understand why merely pointing out that the Bible underscores this sentiment of equality and provides one their moral compass is defined as "pushing the Bible". We all know that it is the Bible that gives Hemodoc his strength and his hope and his comfort and his code for living a happy life, and I don't see why this engenders such hostility. You've all seen my many discussions with him on this forum, and while he often uses the Bible to provide explanations, at no time have I ever felt he was "pushing" anything on me.This thread "belongs" to no one. There is no censorship here unless a poster breaks IHD rules. If the original poster's entire premise is that it is arrogant to "ban" words, then isn't it a bit hypocritical to "ban" references to the Bible? We all of us probably need an attitude adjustment, and I'd wager that just about every 16 year old boy on the planet is particularly in need of one! LOL!The original poster assumed that Hemodoc was addressing him while the truth is that he was addressing Sluff. Even I picked up on that. If any apology is needed, it should be to Hemodoc.Referring to the worship to God, whether or not you believe in Him, as "loonies" talking to the sky is unnecessary and ungracious. A simple apology would be gracious and mature.
You have every right to practice all that stuff, but must you bring it up directly on my thread when you know?

iKAZ3D, if Hemodoc bothers you so much, then why bother interacting with him? I would like very much to "talk" to you further, but you tend to be quite defensive and accusatory (why would you think I was "blatantly downgrading" you?), and I'm not in the mood for that right now. I suspect that most 16 year old boys are quite self-absorbed, so for your own sake, perhaps you should think twice before accusing others of the same thing. I wasn't aware that the goal of any discussion on IHD was to "win". Perhaps that is the source of your problems with Hemodoc. This is not a competition. You do not have to prove that your beliefs are wiser or more valid than those of Hemodoc or of anyone else!

I meant that I'll never be looked at other than 'the Athiest'. Am I an Athiest? No. Most people are going to support the Christian no matter what the situation. I'll never wn as in I'll never have support.

And I see some of you are still fighting the sharks. I have no idea why...
Unfortunately, one of these days you will be shooting your mouth off about some one being "retarded" or otherwise not top of the line, and that person will have a friend who might be waaay bigger than you, like, maybe a big brother or and uncle and kick your posterior right up around your ears. Maybe then, you will understand how rude it is to use offensive words in public .Just not necessary. Maybe getting a new kidney and being well again will give you your attitude adjustment. I seriously hope so. And BTW it is really offensive to me when people bad mouth the Bible. It is the word of God!!!
Hey, young man, I was talking to Sluff. Get over it. Not a comment meant for you at all. You truly need an attitude correction. Have you thought of doing some time in the Marines? If not, I think you should.
Look ,just because you started a thread, doesn't mean that it is your thread, but since you obviously think that it is, why don't we just leave you to rant to yourself away to your heart's content? Maybe someone that you know will apply a derogatory term to you because you have kidney failure, and you will realise that words can hurt. How do you think that would feel? Maybe when they do, you can come on here and be all afronted by it.
