Byetta (exeratide)

Anyone familiar with Byetta injections. They say it's not insulin so I don't have to give up my CDL. Just started using and was wondering if anyone had any of the side effects.

Claims it can hurt kidney function in some people. Anyone?

Sluff- if you have three years experience you might be able to get an exzemption- they do grant them for seasoned drivers.

I was on it for awhile. It didnt really have any side effects, it didnt really seem to do much at all. My doc took me off it cuz of the possible long term damage and lawsuits going on over it. He put me on Victoza, which works in a similar manner and seems to control my blood sugar much better.
