Every time I go to the bathroom I wonder how long it will be until I stop going. I was just wondering how many still go and how long it took the others to stop? Funny topic, huh?  ;D

Here's another tread on this subject: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=1006.0 But good idea creating a thread with a POLL. We needed a poll for this subject.  :thumbup;

Mine came to a HALT after they did my heart catheter.  That dye is hard on the kidneys and I could not drink all the water the other patients were getting to flush the dye out.

I still go, I have been on hemo for a month and a half, but it has slowed to a trickle  :-\

I blame it on the fact that I drink so little

I don't like this part of KD

Well i have been on dialysis nearly 3 years and i go to the bathroom at least everyone 1 to 2 hours! which is great most the time, but it is very annoying having to recirculate 2-3 times while on dialysis to go wee!

While I was on PD, I went daily, although not as much as normal. (about 5 1/2 years) On hemo, it droped to maybe a teaspoon over a weekend, after 6 months. I'm been on hemo over a year 1/2.

So it seems that if you are on hemo, then you stop peeing sooner than those on PD.

I've only been on PD for 9 months, and I still go just as much as before I started dialysis.

I don't think that is the case, I believe it has to do with the persons level of CKD. However I may be wrong, but I am sure in this thread we will find the correct answer. :thumbup;

I agree to a certain extent. Basically everyone is different and they tell you that at the hospital at times. Everyone's health effects them differently. Different functions of the kidney go at different times. Some people pee for a long time while others lose that function pretty fast.
