I've been battling Lyme disease since April 1 (yes, a perfect April Fools prank!)
It has really taken a toll on me because the spirochetes have attacked the meninges (membrane around my brain) causing severe headaches, brain fog, confusion and other nasty symptoms. Then a friend told me about a TED talk.
http://blog.ted.com/2012/06/28/a-game-that-heals-jane-mcgonigal-at-tedglobal-2012/After watching the video I looked into the "game that heals" that the speaker designed. She called it SuperBetter.
Well, I thought, what could I lose?
And I found out that I had everything to gain. So I'm sharing it here because no matter what your challenge, this is a great resource.
In essence, this is a "game" that you design yourself. You set goals, recruit allies, check in, use power-ups, all the while gaining points for your efforts. But the really cool thing about this game is that each level unlocks more tools for you to use to meet your challenge. AND there are articles explaining why those tools work.
I value the community here at IHD and I wanted to share this resource with you guys!
