Hi guys,
    I haven't posted in a while. Sorry, but things have been awful here. My 18 year old autistic son has been diagnosed with cancer. :( He had a tumour removed on the 5th of Jan and has had one cycle of chemo. He still needs to have 2 cycles. This is the hardest thing I have ever gone through.  Here is a photo of Christopher with his sister Amy. As you can see he is losing his hair. It will probably be gone by the end of the weekend. He isn't going to school but will return once he is better. I took myself of the transplant list as I don't think I could cope with a transplant while he is undergoing chemo. Say a prayer for my son guys and hope to post again soon. Liz :'(

Good luck with your son and his treatments.  When in rains it pours around here. *Sigh*

Liz what a beautiful picture.  Very handsome young man.  My prayers are with you and him and your whole family.  I just pray that all cancer cells would vanish.  Keep your chin up and stay as well as you can.  You are needed at home.  You are also very missed on IHD, so please come post when you get a chance........or just to relax here with us.

I will keep you, your family, and especially your son in my thoughts during this difficult time.

If you don't mind my asking (if you do, simply ignore the question and accept my apology), what kind of cancer does he have?  Medicine has made huge progress in the treatment of various cancers, especially those that affect primarily the young.  No matter what, having this diagnosis and undergoing the treatment is difficult, for the patient and the family (especially when it's your child).

Best wishes,

DeLana   :grouphug;

Hi everyone,
       :thx; for your prayers and good wishes. Everything is going well. Christopher is back in hospital for the week, starting his second cycle. He seems to be coping well. He has now lost all of his hair. You know I really was angry with god or whatever the heck is up there and blamed 'it' for everything going on. I was wondering why it had to be Christopher when is disabled, it just seemed so unfair. Anyway I have come to terms with everything and back on speaking terms again. Anyways will post again next week. Here is a photo of me and Christopher taken on Saturday. The other photo is of Christopher at chemotherapy yesterday. Take care all. Liz
