I know we have days that we keep down and the worlds seems to be crashing down.. But are there little phrases, jokes or even a song that keeps you going? I know for me there is.. So I wanted to start a post to share everyone elses.

To start this is a necklace I where almost everyday..(A little bit longer and I'll be fine). It was made By singer Nick Jonas, he has diabetes and it was after a song he wrote. But i wear it cuz it reminds me each day if i wait a little longer it is all going to workout.

Pick me ups?

I tried that and it doesn't work.  I'll show you so listen carefully;  Reach down with both hands and place them under your knees.  Now lift.  See, you can't pick yourself up.

Nope!

Lift one leg while standing.  Now, lift the other.

You get an "F".

1.  Cards, I love cards.  I have several friends who are card senders (as am I) and when I get a card in the mail it makes me happy.

2. Wearing my rings.  For 5, almost 6, years I could not wear my wedding ring or my mother's wedding ring which she gave to me after my dad died.  Through pre-dialysis and dialysis my finger size changed so drastically from day to day that the never fit.  Now, post transplant, my fingers stay the same size and I can wear my rings.  That picks me up!

I am so on your page, conchman! I love that Tim McGraw song, and my iPod is my lifesaver at times. I especially like hooking it up in the car and just blasting it!!!

WishIKnew --- I couldn't sleep last night, so I tried to finish a puzzle my granddaughter and I started a few days ago.  Puzzles, reading and sewing are my go to's.   They calm me.  They ask nothing of me and I feel like I accomplished something.    And music -- El Divo is my favorite blasing music right now.  And IZ.   Better than Calgon!   :rofl;

Anything I send now would probably have the Queen on it, what with EVERYTHING in the shops being geared up for the Jubilee.  That or the Olympics anyway.  Feel free to PM me your address. I shall now start saving up for some stamps!

I can't figure out how to do private messages, but I'd LOVE to send a card to any of my IHDers who want one.  Send my your snail mail address.  I'll even try to make it a special one from here in lovely Elyria, Ohio.  Though there's not a lot special about Elyria, Ohio.
And Poppy, I'd love something with the queen on it!

5. My dog.  She makes me so happy just by hanging out with me and loving me no matter what mood I'm in!

6.  movies, especially romantic comedies like The American President or You've Got Mail or Groundhog Day!  I can loose myself in them and realize I'm sitting here on the couch smiling.

This notion of sending cards via snail mail to each other is just brilliant!  How many people get handwritten notes or cards in the mail these days.  If y'all don't mind, I would just love to join in, so if anyone is interested in receiving a card from me, just send me a PM with your name and address!  I have a new batch of notecards I bought from the Morton Arboretum's giftshop a few weeks ago, so I'm ready for some proper correspondence!! :clap;

Good Coffee and or chocolate, but prefer coffee in the morning first than chocolate! Or just getting out of the house. I use to love taking long drives to places I never been before just to see where that road went.
