Hi All...

As you know, I'm caring alone for my mum, Elsie...

Her KD is complicated now by Parkinson's Disease, and means she can't dialyse herself anymore...

Anyway, all that keeps me sane (if you could call it that!) is the support I get from the Carers Assoc. who send a Respite Care Worker in to look after Mum fror a few hours to give me a break...

So to raise funds for this wonderful organisation, 'Dougal' the dog is going to walk the Carers Assoc. Dog Walk on April 9th...

I do of course realise that money is tight for everyone, and if you can't, or don't want to sponsor him, please wish us luck... If it rains, Dougal will NOT be happy... HATES getting his paws wet!!!...

Well, just a few days to go until the Dog Walk.... Dougal's raising funds mightily....

I'm hoping that he'll raise a good sum, and provide a bit of respite to Family Carers....

Well, today's the day..... And wouldn't you know it, it's raining!....  :rant;

It's four hours until the walk, so I'm hoping it'll dry up!!!...

On the plus side, he's done well money wise... I think the Carers Assoc. will be delighted to hear how well he's done!...  Last year, he raised €1,465 (US$ 1,915)... This year, despite the recession, he's raised €1,911 (US$ 2,500)... Not bad for one little mutt, eh???....

Yippie!....

It stopped raining long enough for the ground to dry up, and for us to get round the course without getting soaked!... Some of the other walks in other parts of the country turned into a swim rather than a walk!...

Had a lovely walk...

He's still bringing in the cash... He's at €1,946 now... That's about $2,550 US.... Not bad for one little smutt, eh???...

There's a bit more money in.... The smutt's raised €2,003, now!!!!!.... That's about US$ 2,600... Not bad, eh???...

Another €50 donation.... Smutt's now raised €2,053... About US$ 2,900...
