Goofynina, we live in Newfoundland Canada. I don't make quilts for a living. I am a grade 2 teacher. I am off on deferred salary leave this year so I have had time to do some sewing.  Not much time for that when I am working.  Hubby has made some things and sold them. I will post some more pictures of thing she has made when I get a chance.  He built our boats.  A cabin cruiser and a speed boat.  I am going to do aother quilt like that one to fit a king size bed.  That one is only a double.  People have sold quilts like that for 3-4 hundred dollars. A beautiful souvenir for tourists to take home.

The picture is big because I didn't know hw to make it smaller.

Del, i would love to see more pics of what your hubby has made and how long does it take for you to make a quilt for a king size bed?  Girl, that is awesome, i do not have the patience to sew my hubby's socks much less make a quilt, you go girl  :2thumbsup;  My sister in law made me a lap quilt with my nieces and nephews on it and a baby pic of my hubby in the middle, it is one of my most valued possesions, it means so much to me :)

Hi I was just wondering what hobbies if any people had,

When I was a teenager, I really enjoyed cooking. When I first moved out of home at 16/17, I was still a keen cook. Over the years, that kind of dropped off as I became busier.

However, since I've stopped working I've been doing a bit of cooking again. Funny thing is, the majority of new recipes I try cooking contain meat, and I make them for my husband - I'm a vegetarian, so I don't get to try them out! I've really got to start making some things for myself. but I like to make sure he always has plenty of food to take to work.

Other than that, I'd like to take up writing again but haven't been feeling inspired. It's something else I started as a kid - very young, actually. Stopped some years ago, though.

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

I also like to go to thrift stores a lot because one of my other hobbies is collecting and restoring old bicycles, and I can find a lot of them at thrift stores.

Yes Kitkatz we use it whenever the weather is suitable in the summer and fall.  I am not a very good sailor I will not go in it when it is windy.  It is a little bit of heaven to be floating along on the water and everything being peaceful.  Can't wait to get it in the water.  Will be about another month or so.

That is impresseive, Del!! A real boat!  Have you ever gone out on the water at night
and fallen asleep? I've thought that would be so relaxing during a calm night.

We have never spend a night on the boat eventhough it has bunks and a bathroom!!  The first thing I wanted put in was a toilet!!   We have been out after dark. I have some beautiful sunset photos that I took from the boat.  We have caught cod fish, mackeral, caplin, squid and other kinds of fish.  The squid is really dirty.  They squirt black ink at you. We came home one night covered in it - had to head straight for the shower.  It was all over the boat as well.  We forgot to close the door to the cabin.  Took me and hubby 2 hrs to clean it the next day. Mr. Clean erasers did a wonderful job!!

Here are some more of my models. First is my latest creation, a 1/600th scale R.M.S. Titanic. This one generated a lot of attention at the dialysis centre as I was building it.

Finally, some more of my locomotive models. The first is the one steamer that was not in my first railroad picture, and the others are two of my diesel models. All of these models are operational.

I like how you have detailed your trains to give them that dirty/used look of real trains, it's a very nice touch.
