Does dialysis before this procedure cause any complications?

Didn't have a problem with it during my work ups before transplant. I had dialysis the next day. The only surprise was the doctor who did it was my female classmate in high school.  :o

Amiel That must have been so embarressing for you. Husband had it done a few months ago, he is on the cycler, all went well, makes your bum ache for a bit. What you would call "a pain in the ar**"

I was on PD the last time I had one, and dialysis didn't seem to make a difference.  I don't think I'd have a colonoscopy on the same day as dialysis anyway.  Too many procedures in one day. *L*

I don't remember any pain after mine, though I'd had a gastroscope at the same time.  They gave me the good drugs that day.  I don't remember anything after being wheeled into the treatment room, and nothing before the nurse woke me afterwards. She was getting panicky because she couldn't wake me.. *LOL*

I've had a colonoscopy right after dialysis and it didn't cause a problem.

Any doctor I've ever been to does not like doing a procedure on a dialysis day.

My procedure went by okay.  I had dialysis on the day before.  I'm glad it's over.

Oh, I got a tip on how to handle the taste of the crap you have to drink.  Get the lemon lime flavor, and chase it with 7 UP.   I heard this AFTER it was over, naturally.

you mean, Go Lightly?  I didn't know it came in flavors.  The stuff I had tasted like I was drinking liquid plastic.  My brother was bugging me so much about it, I debated emptying out his beer and replacing it with the Go Lightly

I've had the lemon-lime flavor (to treat constipation rather than for a colonoscopy).

It's actually not too bad--as you say, it's vaguely like 7-Up.

The plain flavor is just awful.
