« on: November 08, 2011, 10:59:27 AM »

I received this note from peleroja:

Thanks For thinking of me.

As you know, the first half of this year was rough for me.  Sadly, the second half was worse.  In July I fell, for no apparent reason, crossing my kitchen, and since my speech was confused, they took me to the hospital and diagnosed a mini stroke.  While in the hospital I complained of abdominal pains I had been having, and two endoscopies later they discovered I have carcinoid tumors in my stomach.  They wanted to remove the stomach, but I refused.  I have gotten weaker and weaker, and it seems all I do is go to dialysis M-W-F, try and rest the other days (when I’m not seeing doctors), and wondering why I never put Kevorkian’s number on speed dial!  I haven’t been on IHD as I don’t have the strength to sit and read posts.

So there you have it in a nutshell.  Taking it one day at a time.

Karol, as administrator, feel free to post this or reply to anyone who asks.  They can also reach me at peleroja @ ca.rr.com.  Thanks!

Hugs, Jenifer

It's in times like these that you feel rather useless, sitting at a computer and trying to find the right words.  I'm very sad to hear about this, and I hope she will find her way through this.  I hope that knowing we care is of some use.

It is an email address, but she has put a space each side of the @ so the spambots can't use it. Take out the spaces and it will work.   :)

Thanks Henry, yes, I should have said: I purposely spaced out her email address so spambots would not detect it.
