Wow! I never would have thought of looking for that! But then, I have never been on eBay before.
Just wondering if buying a D machine from a stranger is a good idea?

How bizarre! I was just looking at dialysis machines THIS MORNING on eBay.  (We were looking for the suitcase ones.)

This is probably a dumb question but: Do you have to buy the machine? Couldn't you just rent it?

These Dialysis-machines, do they come from Dialysis-Centres and “went for walkies” ?

Here's another auction site that has a listing for an Aksys PHD!
http://www.dotmed.com/listing/dialysis-machine/aksys/phd/873422

I suppose it could be that someone bought up all the assets of the company when it went bankrupt and got the machine as part of the deal.

The thing is you can't just plug this in and use it. It uses specifically designed for it supplies which any made back in the day are expired. This one looks like it was one of its hospital models because the screen is on top of the machine instead of on a swing arm along side.

Wow - this equipment is in use! http://www.dotmed.com/auction/dialysis-machine/fresenius/2008k/22833

Oh by the way we just auctioned off your machine to a guy in Addis Ababa.

I've been meaning to look up how much the Gambro machine that I use is actually worth. $500 could be quite a deal... I know that the Baxter Home Choice Pro is worth $17,000 bought new.  I found it one day while looking for something else.. that kind of blew me away.
