As one who will be starting D for the first time next week, your post highlights something I've already experienced. That is, many in the medical community don't want "thinking" patients who disrupt their "protocols." Whether this is due to a power-complex, fear of government auditors, corporate greed, or whatever, the fact that these people literally hold the power of life-or-death over us gives even the lowliest technician great power.
