I am transferring to a hospital who is a member of The Alliance for Paired Donation..... my current transplant clinic is not part of that program....( funny that is where most of the transplant people are  sent to.  )

I was wondering how many others are on the paired donation....its fairly new program ....and was wondering how many people really know about it....

My neph said it a paired donation will be an option for me. I see you're on the Oregon coast. I'm in Portland. Which center are you using? I'll be at Good Sam.

My mom has an appointment for her assessment for the paired donor exchange program on Feb 10.  I'm thinking that I may have a better chance that way.  Mom has a rarish blood type, so I"m thinking that may work in my favor.

I do live at the coast but I also have a house in Vancouver and go to a Portland clinic to do Nxstage.....  I am going to Legacy too.... they have sign up for the paired dontation progam..... other transplant hopitals have not sign on to the program in this area.... I have been listed at OHSU for a year and half now....most people in the area are listed there.... I believe the wait time at legacy is only 12 months..... down from OHSU where its 2 years and 7 months...
the Paired Donation program is going to be great....  I believe  that this will benifit alot of people.....its going to be BIG........  I am excited
