I discovered today that Just Dance Kids has parental controls that shows your progress per day.  It said that today, I danced for 22 minutes, which is great.  I know my legs are feeling it. *L*

I have an information meeting tonight about a retirement savings plan for people with disabilities.  It's something that I've known about for a while, but didn't know how to go about applying for.  I'm actually looking forward to it.

Last Thursday - phone interview with District Court Judge.
Last Friday - interview scheduled through my temp recruiter for Circuit Court interview.
Saturday - cleaned house and baked for guests (and bowling from 10 pm to midnight.  Yes, I stink at it.)
Sunday - prepped for Monday interview, guests arrived.  Went shopping with them, and came home and made dinner for them, hemmed pants for them.
Monday - tour of local college campus with my guests.  Got a call in the middle of the tour - a second interview with the District Court judge - in person this time - scheduled for Wednesday.  Wheeee!  I finally caught up with the tour, we finished, went to eat, and hung out at home until it was time for the concert last night.  (Owl City, Neon Trees, and Maroon 5.  Even with half his voice gone, Adam Levine is amazing.)
Tuesday - guests cleared out after I caught the bus in the morning.  Interview at 11.  Over by 11:20.  Went to my pro bono clinic to volunteer and got a call from the agency before noon.

I'm employed!!!!    :bandance; :bandance; :bandance;

It's a 3 or 4 week position, and it starts on Monday, so I can still easily go to my interview tomorrow.  I figure if they do offer me the year-round job, it will take them a week to decide who to hire, and I can give two weeks notice to the temp job and still be there for all the time they need someone.  The job I'm interviewing for tomorrow is part time but year round - and more than twice what I'm living on now with disability.  I can live with that!

I have discovered the trick to successful interviews - not caring if you get the job.

I think I did well yesterday because I figured if I didn't get, well, I had another interview the next day, right?
And today I thought, hey, if I don't get it, well, I've got a paying job already...

Sooooo....today's interview went so well they called me an hour later and asked if I could interview tomorrow with the Chief Judge.  This is interview number 3 for this position!

I'm in shock at the moment.  When I left the interview - which did seem to go well - I was told they had no idea how long it would take them to contact me with results.  I figured at least two weeks.  That's pretty standard, really.  I figured even if they offered me the job, I could give my notice at the temp one I'm starting on Monday, and it would take me pretty much to the end of the time they wanted extra help.  I'd love this other job, but I really don't want to burn any bridges at the main courthouse either.  Hopefully, the timing will all work out, and everyone ends up happy - including my savings account!

Now to find an interview outfit for the third interview in as many days....

Interview was a bit more stilted this time.  Perhaps because I'd already talked to all of the staff so long yesterday, there wasn't really anything left to discuss!  They said I'd know TOMORROW if I have the job.  Holy cow, that's fast for government work!

I start my year-round job on Tuesday!!!!   :bandance; :bandance; :bandance; :bandance; :bandance;

I am now a Deputy Court Clerk - or I will be as soon as I pass the pee-in-cup test I'm going for tomorrow.

I had to pass on the temp position, and the temp agency wasn't thrilled, but I have to give precedence to the ones who plan to keep me more than 3 weeks!

Well, my accomplishments are quite boring & routine!
Got the bed made & got some laundry going.
Let the dog out to "plow" the yard. He likes to put his face down in the snow and walk around!   :rofl;  Imagine a 17 lb Pomeranian with his head down & his butt up in the air moving through a foot of snow! He comes up looking like a Yeti!!   :rofl;
I made fried chicken last night so I'm getting ready to make some chicken stock.
It's Wednesday, so I mop my floors today, too!
Like I said, routine & boring!  :)

How can it be boring when you have a dog plowing through the snow?  How do you thaw out his nose?

I am almost finished my two week stint looking after my sister's toy shop. Love this job. I stay with my Mum while in town so that is an added bonus. I dips me lid (take my hat off) to those of you that work full time. I am looking forward to the weekend. I only work for two weeks a year, love the toy shop and it is not hard work or mentally draining. I am lucky not to have to work week in, week out.
