Dear Diane, I am so very sorry.  Thank you for letting us know Frank and sharing him with us.  He was a lucky man to have you by his side.  I hope all the wonderful memories will help during this time.    You will be in my prayers.  I hope you still post.  You are family.    Love to you and the entire family.

Thank you all my dear IHD family. This has been a very busy week and last night was my first restful nights sleep. My twin brother Dean is here, he postponed his trip to South Africa, he was going to leave Monday but is here for a few weeks. (He lives in Iowa I'm in Mass) .

We had a beautiful service for Frank. We tried to make it as traditional Chinese funeral service as we could. His Nephew and 2 nieces helped us with all the traditions. I had a catered banquet from a resturant from Boston. ( we live 50 miles west of Boston & I had to convince them to come out). Franks nephew came from NY, his niece from Texas, his other niece lives here in Mass.

Frank is a US Vietnam Vet (he  was drafted 1 year after he came to this country) so we had a Honor Guard from our local American Legion at the service.

So many people attended, the line was out the door all night. His Doctor (surgeon) also attended the wake. Many from the post office that he worked at along with all his tennis buddies & our dancing friend. We will all miss him so very much.

Last night I went to a friends house to do a Zumba work out. I haven't exercised for awhile & it felt so good to sweat & work off the tension, I'm sure that helped me sleep last night.

My son wrote a beautiful letter about "Frank & Jelly" (our dog who also passed on the same day). I will post it under the pets section.

Life will be so different now, I need to find a job as I cannot collect his Social Security until I'm 62 (I am 54). I will get a check from the Postal service but it is not enough to live on. Much of our $ is in retirerment accounts which I need to be 62 to use them. I plan on paying off the house with the life insurance so that will be 1 less bill every month.

Diane, what a lovely tribute to Frank that was, for so many people to attend his funeral, he was a well loved man. He was also a brave and caring man. I bet you were so proud of him.
Life will change a lot for you now but you are brave enough to take on this challenge . I will be thinking of you, please pop in now and again to let us know how you are doing.

It sounds like you have a good plan for your future. Frank would be proud of that.   I included Jelly with Franks name on our memorial rememberance scroll in the memorial section. Hope you don't mind.
