From NKR: Congratulations to Loyola and Cornell for completing the very first transplant yesterday under the “Children & High PRA” (CHP) program. This program provides transplant opportunities for recipients that do not have donors and are either children or have high PRA scores, who are disadvantaged in the current system. Yesterday’s recipient had a 93% PRA score which means they are incompatible with 93 out of 100 people in the general population, making it very difficult to find a matching donor. Both donor and recipient are doing well.
