Hey all! It's 2:30am here in NC - the Dr just came in and said Mom did great - everything looks good.  We can see her in about an hour.  He says it may take time for urine - a day--a month - but everyone here knows all of that too well.

NOW - How do we go about adding Paris to the Transplant Recieved list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just couldn't go to sleep without checking this thread first.  I have been so distracted all evening, thinking about Paris and about miracles.  I really wish I had the words to convey my utter excitement for Paris and her kidney.  Against all the odds, her dream has come true, and I couldn't be more thrilled.  I can't wait for her first post-transplant post.  Thanks, Beth, for taking the time to give us this good news.  I imagine you have all been through the wars today, so we all appreciate it that you have kept us in mind and have kept us updated.  I am so looking forward to many more posts on this thread.

I still don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight.  Truly, I never believed in miracles until tonight.

I still just can't believe it.  I'm too excited to sleep.  I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  I feel so many emotions.  All night long I've been trying to imagine the sheer joy and elation one must feel when it's possible that FINALLY a huge, huge burden has been lifted from your soul.  It just makes me cry with happiness.

Paris,

Ive never met you  but I feel I know you from reading all your posts over the last 8 mos supporting and encouraging me and hundreds of others while fighting an uphill battle against the wind to get your miracle kidney. Your drama over the last 24 hours has held all of us transfixed and checking back every couple of hours. What you have scattered has come back to you in the form of a miracle gift of life and justice served for someone who couldn't deserve it more. May you reccover quickly with almost no pain and may you p well to the end of an old, old age.

Have not had a chance to read what everyone else has written, but I am simply stunned and elated for you, Paris.

Not only a transplant, but a preemptive one! My dear, as the saying goes, "Somebody up there likes you".

Smooth recovery and best of wishes to you. Come back with details. You know we all cannot wait!
