Hi, my name is Cyndi.  The reason I joined this forum is to get information regarding dialysis.  My father is the one who will be starting dialysis next week.  He is 77 years old and had his left kidney removed due to cancer.  He is also having chemo every other week because the cancer has returned.  His right kidney is very weak and he knew that at some point, he would have to start dialysis.

The reason for me joining is to get information and to understand dialysis from others who have been on it.

Thanks for creating this forum and hope that it will be very useful for us!!

So glad you found us and decided to join.  You will find much support here for yourself, as well as your Father.  God Bless you both.  I hope everything goes well.  Please let us know how he does.    :waving;

Welcome Cyndi.  It is always good when a caregiver joins to learn more about this disease.  Your father is lucky to have you.  He is dealing with so much right now.  Ask all the questions you may have because someone here will have an answer.  There is an incredible amount of information here. There is also great support from all the members.   There is a section for caregivers that you might find helpful. It is good to talk with others in your same position.   Again, welcome. We are glad you are here.
