Thank you Rerun. I think? this is the starting place. My name is Mike Malley, Lafayette NY, married w/two grandchildren. I have been on dialysis, 62 plus two months. 1 1/2 yrs centers and 3 1/2 yrs Nexstage. Signed on to a transplant list 3 + yrs. My wife has cannula-ted me for that time, She is the warrior in my life. I would like to chat with others who enjoy life and those who are finding a new way of living with dialysis. I refuse to give advice, prefer to read an reply with an open mind. My life on dialysis was anger, despair and distrust for the first six months. The center was awful to be kind. Fundamentally, the entire staff were deficient of any medical sense. The next unit was, blah, blah. 0'blah, the next criminal. This was inside of 1 1/2 yrs. The past few years have fine...I spent 30+ yrs Navy, retired E-8, in 1994. Went home Fl. and planted a garden. Some thing I used to think about @ sea a lot. Planted thee garden, everything died shortly their after!! Was offered a position with US Justice, trained 6 mos., and worked the border approx. 5 yrs. I believe a certain amount of discipline is necessary for me to deal with this illness. But I must continue feel my humanity. =====I"m starting to bore myself about myself. Just another human on the planet.. Mike
