Part 1 - I had a great weekend. I am still smiling from the good things that happened.  My husband had won $500 to a consignment shop and Saturday they were having a huge tent sale. This place has lots of estate items and higher end merchandise.  We bought a lovely sage green slipper chair, a sage and cream wool area rug, a black and khaki area rug and still have money left over. I told Barry he can get whatever he wants with the resst - I am shopped out!  It was so much fun to buy things for the house with "play" money!

Part 2 - Saturday night was Drag Bingo.  A quick background - my daughter is ex. director of aids Alliance in NC and Drag Bingo is one of their big fundraisers.      So, I play Bingo there all the time and never win a thing.   They give great gifts - hotel stays, restaurant gift cards, etc.  The biggest game of the night is the 50/50 coverall.  The pot Saturday night was $500.  Guess who won???  Yep - me!!   Our whole family volunteers for every event, Beth is the official photographer, Todd heads the Walk and Ride and I help the "girls" any way I can.  It is a true family event for us.  So, when they had me come up to verify I was the winner, I knew what I had to do.  Give it back.  It was the only thing to do.  The look on my Melissa's face was worth every single penny.  Four of the grandkids were there and they kept saying how proud they were of me.   It really was easy to do.  I could never write a check for that amount to donate, but this was money that wasn't mine to begin with.  Easy .

Part 3 - On Sunday, Beth and I went to the theater to put our names in a lottery have a chance to buy $140 tickets for $25.  Before each show, they have 20 seats set aside for this lottery.  There were at least 150 people there, each hoping for 2 tickets.  And the first name called ----  BETH'S !!!  She could buy 2 tickets. So for a total of $50, the two of us had first row seats at Wicked!!!  Oh my - we were such happy girls!  Beth had seen the show on Broadway when it first opened and she wanted me to see it so much. It was a fantastic day.

So, there is my weekend.  How could I ever ask for more?  Just one thing would have been wonderful.  But three marvelous blessings in a two day span?  Unbelievable!  I am still on a "high" from all the excitement.  A weekend I will remember for a long time.   I can not complain about a thing today.   And I am very grateful.

Brilliant news, Paris, but not surprising.... You're so good to others, you were long overdue a reward!.....

Long may it continue!....

Love...

Very nice Paris.  I'm glad you had a good weekend.  I would go buy a Mega Lotto ticket today if I were you!
