You guys are probably the only ones that will best understand this. . .I received "the call" from the living transplant coordinator at my hospital. My husband and I will make history for them by participating in a 6 person living donor transplant! It's 8 weeks away, which enables everyone to plan, even the hospital. All of us recipients are in relatively good health and it's not critical. Hard as this is to believe - I may never have to experience dialysis. . . I've stalked so many of you for the past 6 months - you made me as prepared as one could ever be for that - to all of you I say thank you!
Fingers crossed that this goes as planned. . . .

Trust us, we don't wish the experience of D on anyone. Hope you don't have to find out what it's like!

That's great news, I hope all goes well! Is the hospital organizing the swap or is it through a paired donation network? Good luck!

It is through my hospital. They have only had a paired program for a year and a half. I've gotten listed at other facilities - just to broaden the pool of options!
