Life's a bitch and then you go on dialysis!

« on: April 24, 2010, 06:09:22 PM »

Whenever I start some new project I get so preocupied and obsessed that I can't sleep. Tomorrow I start building a large deck in my back garden. I got all the timber to-day and went through the procees of cadging some of the power tools I need and don't have off friends. I went to bed about 11.30 PM and its now 2.15 am and I am typing this. I had to get up I was just lying there with my mind racing, have I ordered enough timber, screws nails,....have I planned it properly? etc. I used to suffer from restless legs but at the moment it's restless brain!

Restless brain -  I love it!   That is my biggest problem. I can't shut my brain off at night.  Did I do what I was suppose to?  Who didn't I call or check on?  I make constant lists in my head.    I would bet you have the exact amount of lumber you need and have planned everything perfectly.  It sounds like you are excited to get the project started.  Keep us updated.   Hope you mind finds some peace and quiet!

When I have a early morning appointment or repair person coming by, I wake every 2 hours and look at the clock, check the time and go back to sleep. It makes me crazy and I am so tired the next day. I think that must restless brain too!  :urcrazy;

My husband calls that racing brain and all I can visualize is little hamsters running....  Tylenol PM works for me....and doesn't leave me drowsy in the morning.

I used to have Restless Brain all the time.  But as I have gotten older,
I don't seem to have it.  I just say my prayers and go to sleep.

Started building the deck yesterday. All went smoothly and last night I managed to switch off and go to sleep. But no doubt there'll be more times during this project when I'll get to a difficult part where it's too late in the day to continue and I'll again ly awake making all sorts of plans to solve the problem.

I don't think I'll ever change but its good to know there are others who have similar problems.

My daughters partner started to finish his decking on Saturday (been ongoing for a year) and they have 2 rabbits, the little boggers will not come out from under it, food has been placed every where, but no rabbits, my daughter has not slept alnight because she says they could be eaten by a fox. When the bunnies do surface the grand kids say they are "grounded" bless them.
