Hi, it's great to be a member of a website like this. I am living with PKD and am 90 days new to dialysis. Up until now I really haven't had anyone who could relate to what I'm experiencing. I'm looking forward to learning more and making friends while I'm at it!

Hello melobelle, and welcome to IHD.  This site was made so you could come on here and vent and talk about what you are going through with people who can relate.  I think my family thinks I'm doing fine because I rarely complain to them.  They wouldn't understand anyway, so why bother?  Here, people understand and can help you because they know from experience.

Thank you for joining and best of luck in dialysis.

I complain all the time, and loudly. :rofl;    And then I come to IHD and complain some more. :rant;  People here are very patient, thank goodness!

Welcome Melody! I'd sing a song to welcome you, but that would have you running for the hills!!  :rofl;

Hoping you will find this site helpful and supportive when you need it and also a place you can feel comfortable contributing your own experiences and thoughts.
