Here are our wedding pictures.   We are on Missionary Ridge in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  (We shall see how my scans turned out.)  Let me see if I can tell you about these pictures.
First picture: is of us in front of a civil war cannon.  The preacher looks like a biker guy and he was one. My Dad is behind the cannon pretending to have a shot gun wedding for us literally.
2nd picture: shows us and the cannon again getting ready to have the ceremony.
3rd picture: Note the beer can in one of the general's hands.
4th pic:  Look at the young couple with the preacher after the ceremony.  The preacher's wife is in the backgorund holding Danielle, our daughter.
5th pic:  My Dad is in the white shirt  black pants on the left, the preacher, Us and Danielle (the baby in my arms. The baby is 21 years old now!) My mom is near the cannon toward the right, near the cannon.
The last pic:  The young couple!

God we were so young then.
Well it has been twenty one years of being married between Victor and I.  We celebrated yesterday with our day out and lunch and bookstore visit.  Today was spent at home relaxing in bed and on the computer.  We had mac and cheese for dinner and I baked a brownie for dessert.  Felt like eating the entire thing, but I controlled my self and ate a few bites.  It was good.

I am going to tell a story here today.  We were married in November of 1985.  I can still see the beer can in the general's hand on the monument on Bragg Monument on Missionary Ridge where we were married.  Victor and I went to the courthouse for the marriage license an hour before we were married.  It was an adventure for both of us as we were unsure of the requirements.  We then stopped at a gold discount place on the way to our ceremony place and picked out my wedding ring.  (I do not have that ring.  I lost weight and took the ring off and put it in my purse and lost it several years back.  It is okay.  It was replaced two years ago by a diamond Victor surprised me with on my birthday.  It stuns me sometimes that he can still surprise me so many years later. )  We then went up the hill overlooking Chattanooga Tennessee on Missionary Ridge on a blustery fall day and said our marriage vows.  I wore a lavender dress that I had in my wardrobe.  Victor was in good pants and shirt.  We look young in our pictures when I look back at them.  We stood in front of civil war cannons and laughed when Dad tried to light them. They were replicas.  I remember Dad telling Victor: "No deposit, no returns on this one."   We laughed together.  Then we went back to the courthouse to put the license in.  Legally married in about an hour and pretty cheaply, too. Just had to pay the preacher who was a friend of my parents.   We were to meet my parnet at a steak house out on Brainard Road in the city after we went to the courthouse.  I remember the rest of the day as a blur of being happy.  The next few days were full of packing and getting ready to move back to California.
