I have had Priest since he was 10 months old. He is very friendly and is the funniest dog I have known in years!

He loves to catch ice and he likes to take lids off of soda bottles.

Given the reputation of his breed, I am a very responsible owner and am respectful of others.

There is a web site called Dogster.com. It's a great site
Priest's page is at www.dogster.com/dogs/976709

I hate it when they set the profile on the dialyzer to "Beef Jerky"!

A very handsome dog.  Pit bulls get a bad rap.  All that I have met have had the best dispositions.

Hi! A pet lover after my own heart!

I used to have a pit bull X bull terrier, Diesel (see my avatar). He lived until he was almost 18, being put to sleep on 23 January 2006. He lived together with 2 female bull terriers, Chloe and Dorothy. Chloe lived until 16. We still have Dorothy (and another bull terrier now, named Demelza).

I have been involved in sorts of things with my dogs, including obedience training and nursing home therapy visits (the latter with Chloe). It may interest you to know that I was a founding member of the Endangered Dogs Breeds Association of Australia (www.edba.org.au), though obviously my kidney failure put a dent in my volunteer efforts. I have written an article on breed specific legislation for Fully Bully magazine (I don't think this publication is still in existence) which was a magazine created by Dianne Jessup.

As you can tell - on dogs in general, and particularly the bull breeds, I am very passionate! The reputation is undeserved and the sickoes who abuse this breed will only move on to another breed if pit bulls or any other breed were to become unavailable. But, no need to waste my breath right here, I am preaching to the converted!

Diesel was by far the smartest dog I have ever owned too.

I LOVE Pits!...

They're too srtong for us to manage, but I love enjoying other peoples...

Several friends have them, and I love that muscular build, and short coat... The muscles ripple!...

I love all of your pawed people... They're all fine dogs, and are a credit to you all...

Love to the mutts...

Thanks for all the great replies!

Amen on their strength! They can be stubborn too.

I am so glad of everyone's deep appreciation of this unique breed.

There aren't bad dogs, just bad people.

Weird question:

When I have shopped for stuff depicting APBTs, the ears are always cropped in the image. Has this been anyone else's experience?

Unless one has spent time with a pet, a part of the soul remains unawakened  - Unknown.

Weird fact about Priest: His favorite place to be is in the Fellowship Hall at Church. ;)
That's not how his name was picked though.

Thanks for your service in helping Pit Bulls in Australia.

I have checked your site out, but it's being maintained at this time.

Here is a similar anti-BSL (Breed-Specific Legislation_) site:

(sorry about the cut & Paste)
