Me with Baron von Fresenius

« on: September 28, 2009, 09:34:09 AM »

In an earlier post I had mentioned that my computer had stopped working. I discovered that the motherboard had cracked because of years of overheating, which was always a problem with that old computer. It couldn't be fixed, so I had to get a new one, even though I couldn't really afford it. I am making monthly payments on it, so it's not as bad as if I had to pay for it all at once. It's a Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows Vista. All in all, it's not a bad computer for the price ($400). Hopefully this one will last as long as my old one did (almost ten years).

Glad to hear you were able to get a new computer. I was having problems with my for awhile...couldn't get on the internet. Finally figured the problem out. Was rather proud of myself beings I don't know much about the workings of a computer.

OMG I hope your Dell (Hell) Inspiron Laptop lasts longer than mine!  I swear to god they have it right down to the minute on the warranty!  If you have problems I have a friend named Hodgi in India that may be able to help you. "Two Moment Please"........

Dell had better start making better computers that last longer.  $400??? mine was $2,000 5 years ago and it lasted 2 years plus 1 with repairs.  I wanted to set it in on some train tracks and watch it get blasted!

:oops;  I hope you have better luck!

I am glad you are back again.
Gosh, to think you have been on a computer for almost ten years,
I've only "just got started with it" this year!
Good luck with your new computer, Kristina.

If my computer died it would be like cutting my right arm off.I started using one at the age of 57 that is 7 years ago. I love it I can do any thing on it, I went for a few courses and got hooked. The soft ware I really like is photoshop, I make alot of cards and it is fantastic. Enjoy your new computer.
