Had Orientation last night from 5-8pm. It was pretty fun. I watched the typical videos on alcohol and tobacco sales, and company policies, etc. Had a tour of the store, did the tax paper work, etc. I go back on Thursday from 9-1pm, then Saturday from 5-11pm. I met a couple of my co-workers, and they seem to be pretty cool. Thursday I will be learning how to make the coffee, and learn about the lotto machine and other things! I am so excited to get started!

Sounds like a nice place to work.
I am glad you are happy and looking forward to going back to work.

Them Lotto machines can go non stop when there are big jackpots.

I am glad this all came through for you karen.

Had my first day yesterday! I think it went pretty well! I learned how to do the coffee, already knew how to do that but still.. I also did some cashiering. It was actually pretty fun! You see some pretty interesting characters let me tell you. And wow people like their beer! I must have sold like 20 40 oz's! Before noon too! And you don't realize how many different types of cigarettes and stuff like that there are! Anyways today I may learn the lotto machine, but it sucks because soon were getting a new touch-screen one and will need to learn that one! I go in this morning from 10-1pm, then have dialysis at 4. I work this weekend too both days, 5-11pm, which should be fun and challenging! Plus i get $$$ lol!

woot Karen!!! Well done!!! Yes when you learn the lotto machine we want the secret button combination you press to make sure your friends get winning tickets!!!  :rofl;

It's great to work - to earn $$$ - and do interesting/fun stuff - and keep one's mind focused on positive things rather than kidney disease and all that stuff... so.. well done!!!

Hey, you got the job!!! I must have missed that news somehow. Congratulations!

Sounds like you are settling in well. I'm sure you will collect a lot of great stories working with the public. Best of luck to you!
