Six months ago I was told to expect to start HD this month.

This month's bloods show I'm stable and I can expect to remain pre-dialysis for at least another two months.  :yahoo;

Congratulations  :cheer: John was told when they fitted his fistula back in April 2008 that he would be needing dialysis with in the next 9 months and it takes 6 months before they can use the fistula. He is still managing without dialysis with a creatinine of 441 this week.
He is not a well man and I sometimes wonder if he would feel better if they did start him on dialysis, but they all must know what they are doing, he now has 3 monthly check ups.

To me, each day that I can get away without not having to do dialysis is a blessing!  I've also been told a long time ago that I need dialysis so I got the PD cath put in and that was December or 2007!!!

That's why I'm not sure if I  REALLY need to start.  My doc is still on my back but I keep putting it off.  Currently my cretonne is 6.9 and I’m still holding out.  I respect my doctor but I feel that I have to make my own judgement to start.  Right now (and for over a year and a half, I’ve been going with my gut instinct and so far my gut has been right!

Does anyone know what 441 would translate to American numbers?  I'm very happy for your husband!
