I have 16 hats, all the same style!

« on: July 24, 2009, 02:23:29 PM »

Went to ER yesterday with pain in the middle of my chest and across my back.  Did an EKG and it turned out to be normal.  Took blood, no cardiac marker.  Took a chest x-ray, nothing to be seen.  Just in case, let's do a CT scan to rule out clots.  Then the doc comes with the good news, bad news.  Good news - no clots.  Bad news - "you have a patch of pneumonia."  Patch?????  I thought pneumonia was like being pregnant.k  No such thing as "a little bit pregnant!"  Anyhoo, two IV antibiotics and a 10 day supply of pills later, they actually sent me home.  Yayyyyyyyyyy.  Thought for sure there was another surgery in my immediate future.  Never tell your friend that you happen to have a free day with absolutely nothing to do but rest!!!!!

I hope it clears up soon.

What are the ways you can get pneumonia?

It still hurts like hell, and pain meds only seem to last a couple of hours.  2009 really hasn't been my year!
