hey angela.  im not too far from iowa.  i have family in omaha ne and in iowa.  i think one of my sisters and aunt live near or in harper iowa.  so that could be a possibility.  just throwing ideas out....  ;)

Hmmm..wouldn't work for me. We have an annual camping trip/family reunion Aug. 11 - 19. I have missed it the last 2 years because of scheduled transplants that didn't happen, so I am really looking forward to going this year! It is in northern Michigan, about 3 1/2 hours north of where we live - unfortunately in the opposite direction of Ohio!

Started hemodialysis in April 2006.
Received a new kidney from my sister on Dec. 5, 2006.
Transplant rejection in March, 2009
Approved for second transplant in May 2009
Sister-in-law approved as donor in Dec 2009

I am in Southeastern Iowa and am interested in a meet.  I would also love to see Rerun on the back of Sluffy's bike !!!!!    :2thumbsup;  don't forget the cameras, please!

I'm still new to a lot of this because I have not started dialysis yet but the time is coming. I am from Toronto , Canada and the Iowa site would be much easier to get to.  I think that it would be great to get together and share and learn from others.

I was hoping for the long weekend because I will be traveling by motorcycle to California and thought I would make a few stops in Iowa, Minnesota and where ever I can find a member on the way. I am thinking of making a little travel book to put on the site complete with pictures. Just an idea.

In honor of Epoman and this site, I am marking my calendar to celebrate the 1st
post on IHD by Epoman, August 05, 2005.
I hope we can continue to plan a California meet-up and we can celebrate in person!

Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.

I will need a head count, to get the best possible room rates and the right size meeting room. Also I'm planning some guest speakers for Saturday and to get their interest I will need to know approx how many people can be there.
