Stopping to smell the bluebonnets

« on: April 07, 2009, 04:25:12 PM »

Today my hubby surprised me at work with a new car!

He came to my classroom and asked for my keys and he gave me what I thought were his keys. This isn't unusual because sometimes he'll stop by and wash my car or change the oil in my car and leave me his keys. I was busy with my kids so I didn't pay him too much attention. He left.

I stopped for some reason to look at the keys and noticed they weren't his since they had this weird symbol on them! So I ran next door to my partner teacher's classroom, shoved the key in her face and asked if it was a Cadillac symbol. She said, "Yeah, I think so why?" I told her I thought my husband just bought me a new car. So I ran out to the parking lot and sure enough there was the car we had been looking at. He said, "Happy Early Anniversary!"  :cheer:

Woohoo! Just excited -- had to share.

I resent that, I drive a Ford! :boxing;
Although not my first choice of vehicles, I never had a problem mechanical wise.

I'll take any decent vehicle I can afford. If I could afford it, I would get the Cadillac CTS-V  ;D

Congrats on the new car.  How cool to have a great surprise like that.

We used to have several sayings for FORD when I was growing up:  Found on Road Dead, Fix or repair daily, etc.
Now, guess what?  I'm driving a ford (Mustang) but it is awesome as heck.

Enjoy the Caddie   :bunny:

We actually used to have a Ford -- an Escape and we loved it! Then we both ended up with PT's. I liked mine, but we put a bunch of miles on it and the a/c was just about to go out. And I can't live without a/c in Houston summer weather!

Twirl, I haven't had to do the "laundry" yet! Hubby works too much right now!  =)  But I'll do it with pleasure this weekend!  lol

It is charcoal grey and black leather interior. It has butt warmers  :sir ken; in the seats, and onstar, xm.. i think the only thing it doesn't have is the nav system.

I already smacked my kidney transplant recipient ribbon magnet that I got from Okarol on the back of the car.

I will try to take some pictures this weekend.
