All sounds good...except for the offspring part, oh yeah and the "young" part...but the ribbons and the carvings sound very "artistic" and springlike indeed.

My positives for today are that I did a 45 minute walk, am planning another walk for later on and just made a shopping list for a black eyed peas stew with smoked turkey and veggies accompanied by some low-fat cornbread that I plan to make tomorrow.  Trying to raise my magnesium via the peas.

The walk sounds great!

My positive is that we are going to a covered dish dinner tonight that includes some dear friends we haven't seen for over a year! Looking forward to stimulating conversation and a great time.

Yay! Dan! :clap;

BTW, when we go to Pot Luck dinners, I take a renal friendly corn pudding so there is something good for my husband to eat.

My daugther finished her exam finals this week and she is coming home today for the summer.  Her first year in college flew by so fast.  I'm happy to have both my girls home again.  Miss my family of four.

Then have a doc apt wish me luck... ???

My daughter, Melissa, was in the newspaper yesterday as the special events co-ordinator for the Aids Alliance Walk and Ride. It was a huge success.  My son rode the 30 mile bike ride and then walked the 3 mile walk.  I supported everyone from the sidelines!!   :2thumbsup;

Wooohoooo - got my free fabric today!  I have a station wagon, and with the back seats down, I still could barely see out the back window over the huge load of fabric.  I have to unload and sort after dinner - I can't wait to see it all hanging up in my craft room!

I got bargains galore today shopping, too.  I found jeans half off at JCP - and got them in a size 2 sizes smaller than I've been wearing, thanks to all my diet and exercise efforts.  If I'd known I was going to find a pair for $2.75 at the Salvation Army that were just as nice, I'd have skipped JC Penny's entirely, but hey - it was great to end up with 2 pairs when I only had a budget for one!  I found a new jacket at the consignment store, so my much-too-big one can go, and my favorite little thrift store had a huge "new" selection in the "bag for a buck" bin.  I have new summer shirts that I can wear to dialysis without worrying about getting them blood splattered, and half a dozen tank tops, all for pennies a piece.  I found a couple of books I wanted to read as well.  All in all, a really good day for bargains!

I have a lovely daughter in law, Rebecca.  She is a nurse and a wonderful wife and mother.  Today she stopped by with a pot of soup and cornbread for dinner.  And a quiche for dinner tomorrow. She knows I am stressed and thought it might help to have food ready to eat.  Now I can do things I need to do and not worry about cooking.   :2thumbsup;
