I was encouraged to start a thread like this one and well, I kind of figured that I was a lone rider here and/or, no one would really be interested.  That all changed when I found out that IHD has fellow riders.  I guess I will start this off, talking about my ride.  It's a 1994 Kawasaki ZX9R ( Ninja 900cc )  Yes, I know it's a sport bike but it has a sweet ride that will inspire confidence at any speed or weather.  It only has around 32,000 miles on it now and I truly enjoy every mile I put on it.

Don't get it confused that this maybe a sport touring style bike because of it's almost up-right seating position because this thing has the power of a full on sport bike.  It pumps out about 125 horse power at the rear tire and can accelerate from a standing stop to 100mph ( 160.93kph ) in exactly 6 seconds and run the 1/4 mile in 10.22 seconds at over 140mph ( 225.30kph ).  Top speed hits a mind boggling 175mph (281.63kph ) and can reach that speed in under 1 mile ( 1.60km ).   And I don't do that crazy crap out on the street.  That's what race tracks are for.  :P

Well after looking at Sluff's bike ... lol

I should post pics of my dad's bikes and my brothers' bikes ;)

and my dad doesn't just like anyone for bikes but also for musical talent or if they are a decent person. Since my dad has not yet seen Sandman's BIKE and Sandman has no musical talent .. I would say it is because of his personality :P

I never said you didn't...OH CRAP! I forgot the 's!!  I was saying he had never seen your BIKE in person

Anyway, here are some of the bikes I have pics of:

The 1st one is of my brother and my Neice. None of these pics are that new but this one with my neice on it is the newest pic of them all.

THe 2nd one is my other brother but too bad that is not really his bike :P

The 3rd one is a guy's bike from MN.

4th one is another of the guy's in MN that he got the next year after.

And lastly my dad on a harley.

Only my cousin was into racing bikes but he had a very nasty spill where he ended up in the hospital so after that he never rode racing bikes again and I never got to be on one :(

Wow!  The bike your brother Lonnie is sitting on ( 2nd pic down )  is a prototype built by Dodge and is powered by the Dodge Viper v10 engine.  Makes almost 500hp and almost identical torque numbers.  The bike was reported to be able to do over 300mph !!  Shame that is is not for sale.  :P

A lot of cool bikes here. Lorretta and I used to put on about 14000 miles a year and that is just the summer months as we live in Wisconsin. We do manage a New Years eve midnight run every year. And on better days in winter we will go for a short run in town. Lorretta needs repair on the motor she quit on July 22nd and I haven't been on her since due to finances but I will get her up and running again through the winter. I've been all over the 48 with her and she has a lot of secrets to keep..lol

This picture is a 1973 Harley Davidson Sportster the motor is a Iron head. I bought this for my Son and we are in the process of rebuilding it. It is down to the frame which we have painted the frame metallic midnight blue. I can't tell you what the rest of the plans are cuz then I'd have to hurt you. lol

Hope your not tired of me posting but I have another cool one to share. This is my Mom and I'm teaching her to ride a motorcycle about a year after my Dad passed away.  Unfortunately Mom died of cancer just after buying her own bike and getting her Motorcycle liscense. It came on quick and she died 2 months later. I will always cherish the time I spent teaching her to ride the motorcycle. She was 61 when she learned how to ride..all 5'6" 108lbs.

I found this old pic as I was looking for other old bikes that I use to have.  This one I got in 1991 as a salvage bike when I was still working a broad street cycles.  It's a 1989 Kawasaki ZX600R ( "C" model Ninja 600cc )  All it was when I got it was a frame with a title, one wheel and half an engine.  I got it for $50.  I spent maybe $800 in used and new parts and took about 3 weeks time to put it back together on my lunch breaks.  I only owned it for 3 years and I beat the living snot out of it.  Wound up going through 2 more engines ( at $400 per ) before finally selling it in 1994 for about $3,500.  Made for a rather nice deposit on my current ZX9R.   ;D

Thanks Sluff.  I kind of miss that bike.  It was a great, fun little beater but I know my back is thanking me now for giving that thing up. :P  Oh man, could it ever fold you in half on long trips. :P  Especially for someone like me considering that I am 6 feet tall.  Riding that thing from my home town of Phila PA to Cape May NJ and back was brutal.
