I broke/chipped a side of one of my molars (is that what they are called?  not the ones in the very back but next to those?) eating a freaking oyster last night!  I have a previous filling in that tooth that is still there, but how can they fix it?  It's a big chip!  Would it be a crown that they put on?  How long does that take and how painful is it?  I have a serious fear of the dentist.    :'( :'( :'(

Hi Sara,  you will be amazed at how well they can repair that tooth,  i broke one right in half and they created a whole new tooth, no crown and most importantly no pain,  the dentist practice has improved so much lately, i remember being a kid and squirming in the dentist chair and that dentist would pinch me,   hopefully you have a good dentist like i have ;)  Good luck and go get that tooth fixed before the other part breaks off....  :o

My teeth always chip apart in quarters usually, they just put a band around it and make it whole again. try to save the broken piece if u can.
