How absolutely wonderful!!! Well he has certainly provied his devotion support and love through the last what is it eight years?? Not to mention his beautiful gift! Wonderful news and congratulations to you both!!! So details!!! Where and how did he propose??? and any thoughts on dates etc?? (yes, I need a date... )

Pyelonephritis (began at 8 mos old) Home haemo 1980-1985 (self-cannulated with 15 gauge sharps) Cadaveric transplant 1985 New upper-arm fistula April 2008 Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008 Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008 (2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly) Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes. Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009 First failed kidney transplant removed Apr. 2009 Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

Oh Tamara! What wonderful news! You two have been through so much already, the rest of your lives will be a breeze! We're having a wedding!! An IHD wedding! I am sooooo excited for both of you. Best wishes for a long, happy life together

Thanks for the congrats and wellwishes. It was just a normal day of returning home from work, and as I was walking through the back door, I saw Allan carrying a bunch of flowers that had been put in a vase. I said to him, silly me who are they from. He didn't say anything and showed me the card. The message, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Allan xxxx oooo, he then asked will I marry him. I said yes straight away and there was no doubt it was actually quite matter of fact, as in my mind without proposals or anything it was already set in my mind.I was spending the rest of my life with him. Now have told family and friends, and then of course IHD, everyone has been bugging us for a date, thinking enough time to plan and save enough $$$$$ so probably around about the same time next year. So

1993 diagnosed with glomerulonephritis. Oct 41, 2007 - Got fistula placed. Feb 13, 2008 - Activated on "the list". Nov 5, 2008 - Received living donor transplant from my sister-in-law, Etta. Nov 5, 2011 - THREE YEARS POST TRANSPLANT!

Yeah just make it Oct 24th... easy to remember then Oct 23 kidneyversary Oct 24 Wedding Anniversary Oct 25 Tamara's birthday And while I'm shattered my dreams of being with the lovely tamara are forever dashed, I'm totally stoked for this obvious event to be taking place!!!
