I was looking for a wish organization for adults in Canada.. I know there's a few in the States, but I haven't been able to find any in Canada... these would be organizations that grant wishes for chronically and terminally ill adults, similar to Children's Wish... like I said, I know that there are a few of them in the States, but I haven't found any Canadian ones yet.. does anyone know of any?

Make a wish is only for children...
Sorry I couldn't find anything else. I really don't think there is anything for Adults ... except for maybe going on some talk show and telling them your story ... who knows  |

I think Sandman's point is that he feels the United States has some things to offer too and that Canada isn't the best place in the world. He wants me to move to the States one day but everyone keeps telling me to stay in Canada  But one thing I have noticed is the States do seem to have a little more programs than Canada .. like some kind of wish foundation for adults? Am I right in understanding that there is one? |

The US DOES have plenty to offer. Only cheap/free healthcare isn't one of them but is one of Canada's high point values.

I have noticed once you are over 18years of age in the UK. Thats it, you are classed as a Adult In the dialysis world you get dumped in at the deep end. No more fun and games. Only Children get wishes  |

You weren't a sick child in a children's hospital But I did get to be on the Miracle Network (TV) for the Make a Wish foundation while I was in the children's hospital Of course it was only for a minute |

Yeah.. my searches on google turned up a couple in the states.. but none in canada... You live in "Canada" what else could you possibly wish for??? You'd be surprised.. *L* Actually, what I'd like to do.. and some of you will think I'm nuts.. is go to NYC for a taping of the Colbert Report.. and possibly meet Stephen Colbert... How do I find the wish organization for adults? I was in so much denial about my son's deteriorating health that I never even thought of such a thing when he was a kid! It's one of my many regrets. More information please!

Thanks Riki. Seems there is one charity, the Fairygodmother Foundation that does things for young adults in the US. that was very interesting and helpful!
