Hello all,
I thought I share some good news with you guys. On 09/13/08, I receieved my kidney transplant. I got the call to come to the hospital on 09/12/08. It was the best phone call I ever received. I started dialysis on Jan 08. On April 08, I was put on the waiting list for a kidney transplant. I only had to wait 4 months to get this special call. I wasn't expecting it because I thought it takes 3-5 yrs to wait for a possible kidney transplant. No words could describe how I feel right now. My new kidney was a perfect match and came all the way from Hawaii. For those that are waiting, keep the faith. Your time will come. I was just discharged from the hospital last monday 09/22/08. I spent 11 days at the hospital. To everyone on this board. I would like to thank all of you. I will continue posting on this board for you are family to me.

That's wonderful!! Congratulations! You didn't have to wait long at all! That is so wonderful! Tell us your whole story when you get a chance! I want to hear everything! How did you feel just before they took you down for surgery? How did you feel when you woke up? Why did you have to spend 11 days in the hospital?
