We are looking for a clinic the offers NHHD or it's equivalent.  We've been using the NxStage at home since we started over two years ago and have been asking about NHHD.  Davita says "They are not approved to do NHHD".  It is very frustrating Knowing it can be done Yet it is not offered to us.  We feel it would free up our days and make it easier to work.

Is any one using NxStage NHHD through Davita?  If Not, which clinic do you use?

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I found this one -Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) - Discovery- yesterday they do NHHD but we really like the NxStage's portability so I started calling the clinic trials for NHHD with the NxStage they are all in a meeting today I'll call again tomorrow.

I also got our kidney doctor to start calling (thought he could cut the red tape better than I)
Our thought is that this is NHHD so we shouldn't need to go to thier office very often.  The closest one is only 350mi.  and maybe they can come to our clinic to train us.  We will see I'll keep ya'll posted.

Jeff & Maggie,
did you find a clinic for nocturnal? I replied to your original question in another thread. I will switch from Davita to Northwest Kidney when I am ready for nocturnal with the NxStage. I've talked with both dialysis centers and they are aware of my goal. I won't be surprised if Davita works something out with me by that time. If not, no problem. I will have to do a short one-time training with NW Kidney to get up to speed with the nocturnal. I love the nurse I have with Davita so I am hoping they will make the right decision and I can stay.
