So Sara did you ever file a complaint? If so what was the outcome?

Unfortunately I did not.  I was so stressed and worried and focused on Joe, I didn't even get the witch's name.  I thought about going back there to see if I could find her, but didn't know if I had a right to be pissed about it.  If something like that happens again I will definitely take care of it!

Sometimes your footprint on someone's backside can remind them who they are talking to and why they are there working in the first place!

When Joe was in the hospital a few weeks ago, this one nurse really made me mad.  I still think about it, even weeks later.

It had been over 24 hours since he'd had anything to eat, almost 24 hours since he had something to drink, was groggy from surgery and strapped to a gurney and being rolled down to the dialysis unit in the hospital.  I was walking behind him.  The nurses taking him downstairs had to stop at a nurses' station to pick up something and as he's laying there a nurse (a B**** is more like it) walked up to him and said "You're a big guy!"  Then she takes her glass of water and standing over him basically in his face drinks it.  He sleepily makes a sort of joke saying, "Oh, don't drink that in front of me."  So she says, "Oh, yeah?  Mmmmmmm" and downs the whole rest of the drink.  It's hard to explain how annoying and immature it was, so just trust me on that.  She went on to say something about her husband being a big guy and she "likes big guys" blah blah blah.  I gave her a nasty look and we moved on.  I asked Joe about it later if it bothered him (her drinking it in his face) and he said no, but it really made me upset.

How would you have felt about it?

i would've thrown that glass in her face.

Joking or not.. there is a thing called professional ethics.. of which this nurse had none.
Totally unprofessional.....

Me?  I would have b-* slapped her.... and reported her too!

Mysty, I agree with you. Although I would have liked to use a 2 by 4 to the back of her head. (I said I would like to, I never would though) I am sick and tired of nurses who are unprofessional, mean or both.

I have to say that the nurse was rude. I am alil late on reading all the topics. As for the BIG GUY comment whether she was joking or not it is still unprofessional. How would she have liked it if your husband said and yeah aren't you a fat a _ _ !!!!!!! LOL LOL and by the way your hubby was still under the affects of anethesia. Geeh makes me wonder where they get some of these nurses!!!!! As too teh good Nurses I salute YOU!!!

The nurse would have pissed me off.
And don't get me started on military doctors...especially   :puke; Navy doctors.
They are the reason I am in this mess to begin with.
